Ffacebook is a system of exhibition based on the breakdown of a book into a set of square pages organized in layers and folded according to their median and diagonal axes. Folds enable the negotiation of the territory of the individual specimens and the accretion of the collective within a reduced space that disrupts the content of both, managing the exposure and hindrance of information and resulting in an organization that, in the mix of the restrained expression of the individual and the open-ended order of the whole, both hides and exposes content.
Pages are treated as instruction holders. The traces that guide the process of perception interact with the design of the image, configuring a medium where the tactile experience of form and the distracted experience of content mix in a paradoxical state of self-aware distraction and disturbed consciousness. The sets of pages disrupt, through the restrained forces of the folded material, the attention, concentration, introspection, and reflexion about content, enforcing zapping, navigation, panorama, and distraction. Ffacebook is the material expression of their inherent struggle.
